UTRECHT > At a time when facts and fiction often intertwine, the Party for the Animals Utrecht invites interested parties to an inspiring lecture on the role of science in the debate on animal welfare, nature and climate change. This lecture will take place on Monday, April 15 at 8 p.m. in the Kargadoor in Utrecht. Everyone is welcome.
Under the title “Facts, Fables and the Role of Science”, Vera Sýkora, director of the NGPF (the scientific bureau of the Party for the Animals), and Hans Ossebaard, active in Scientist Rebellion and expert in the field of ‘Planetary Health’, their experiences and ideas.
“What is true? How do we deal with fables and fake news? And what role does scientific knowledge play in the debate about animal welfare, nature and climate change?” are questions that will be discussed during the lecture.
The lecture will take place on Monday April 15 in De Kargadoor, Oudegracht 36 in Utrecht. The program lasts from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with entry at 7:30 PM.
The evening consists of lectures by Vera and Hans and an interactive question and answer session. Afterwards there will be an informal drink, where participants can chat and exchange experiences.
