RTV Stichtse Vecht – [Regionieuws] Nieuw Utrechts Toneel plays its 11th summer performance at Haarzuilens

From May 9 to June 2, the NUT (Nieuw Utrechts Toneel) will perform its 11th summer performance on location ever: Forever and ever and always and ever. Theater makers Greg Nottrot and Floor Leene stage their own wedding, assisted by musician Pascal van Hulst and directed by Maurits van den Berg. Forever and ever and ever will be a real NUT evening: a three-hour mini-festival with theater, dinner and meeting. The performance can be seen sixteen times, on location at Boer Peter in Haarzuilens (Utrecht).

Forever and ever and ever and ever tells the story of Greg and Floor, two lovers who each deal with the idea of ​​death in their own way. While Greg wants to celebrate love and embrace immortality, Floor looks for practical security in the event of death. Their different approaches lead to a fascinating conflict about the meaning of love and dealing with loss.

Forever and ever and ever and ever is not only an evening full of theater and culinary delight, but also asks important questions about how we as a society deal with death. Through a compelling story and interaction with the audience, the performance invites reflection and dialogue on a universal theme. How do you organize true love and how do you discuss the inevitable adversity that you will encounter in a lifetime together?

The performances take place in a festive tent on the grounds of ‘Boer Peter’ in Haarzuilens (Thematerweg 6, Utrecht). Performances are held from May 9 to June 1.

The NUT is known for its hospitable and investigative approach to theater. We are an accessible meeting place for everyone who searches, asks questions and likes to be surprised. Together with our audience we explore the major themes of our time through different perspectives. In 2024, all our work will revolve around the theme ‘the future of death’. In our productions, on the border between truth and fiction, we question the obvious and make complex themes transparent. The NUT sets things in motion and provides guidance.
