VLISSINGEN – The Zeeland police are urgently looking for the shooter fired shots in broad daylight on Thursday, February 1, near Bloemenlaan. The shooting followed a brief altercation in traffic on President Rooseveltlaan. Besides the person the shooter was targeting, he could have hit local residents or passers-by.

The shooter was on foot and sought confrontation with the cycling victim. When the latter got off, the perpetrator pulled out a gun and started shooting. That happened near Bloemenlaan. There are images of the shooter that show that he has a slightly tanned skin color and on that particular February 1st he also had a mustache. The man ran away in the direction of Jacob Marislaan and was then also seen on Mesdaglaan. Anyone who knows or suspects who it is is requested to contact the police, anonymously if necessary via Report Crime Anonymous (free): 0800-7000. The television program Opsporing Verzocht paid attention to the shooting last night.
