Girl (16) died after falling from home in Amsterdam, two suspects arrested

A 16-year-old girl died last night from her injuries after falling from a great height from a building on the Geldersekade in Amsterdam, AT5 reports. Two 16-year-old boys ran out of the house after the incident and were arrested. It is not yet known whether this was intentional.

The police received a report last night around 11:45 PM about a group of young people who entered the building after forcing an entrance door. “When officers arrived, they found the girl seriously injured,” a spokesperson said. She was resuscitated on the street and taken to hospital. She died there from her injuries.

Different scenarios

When the police arrived on the scene, two boys ran from the building. They have been arrested as suspects. Both boys are 16 years old and come from Amsterdam. The police are investigating whether there were other people in the building.

As part of the investigation, the police cannot yet say anything about the circumstances of the accident. “We are taking different scenarios into account,” the spokesperson said. “Also with that of a fatal accident.” Due to the uncertainty about the incident, the police are calling on any witnesses to come forward.
