Hansweert

Hansweert also celebrates King’s Day extensively. The organization is in the hands of the Answest event foundation at its best and all activities take place on the centrally located village square in front of the Kaj Munk village hall.

The festivities start at 10 a.m. in the Music Garden on the Boomdijk. There we gather for a short parade with decorated bicycles through the village behind the local music association Scheldegalm. The parade ends on the village square where the day is officially opened with the raising of the flag (10.30 am).

Immediately afterwards the awards ceremony for the most beautifully decorated bicycles will follow. In the afternoon, from 2 p.m., the village square is the place where everything happens: a dress market, various bouncy castles, skill games, face painting and of course a lovely terrace to rest and enjoy all the activities.
