Without digital security we are not physically safe either. This week the AIVD released a report on our digital security. To protect the Netherlands against the cyber scum of Putin or China, we must take action now. All alarm bells are ringing and it is not without reason that the AIVD says that the threat picture is becoming increasingly shadowy. Cyber attacks are not new here, but they are faster and more damaging.

It is therefore important to strengthen our digital walls and thus protect our national security. We do this, among other things, by strengthening our intelligence services, working better with companies and sharing more threat information.

Member of Parliament Queeny Rajkowski on how we protect the Netherlands against the cyber scum of Putin or China.

That is why we want the AIVD intelligence service to be able to immediately warn important companies of cyber threats. So that we can respond quickly. In this way we prevent cyber criminals and state hackers from shutting down parts of our society with a cyber attack.

We also ensure that we are resilient if a digital crisis breaks out, so that daily processes such as energy, water and payment transactions can continue as normal.

VVD wants a direct line between AIVD and companies in the event of a cyber alarm. (fd.nl)
