Train passengers must take delays and detours into account during the May holidays, because work is being done at various locations on the track or at stations. Travelers traveling via Tilburg, Zwolle or Amsterdam in particular suffer from this.

Train traffic around Tilburg has been halted for two full weeks. From Sunday April 28 to Monday morning May 13, ProRail will be working around Tilburg station and Tilburg University. Stairs are being replaced and platforms renovated.

In addition, work is also being done on the track between Tilburg and Breda and Tilburg and Breda. Work is also taking place at Gilze-Rijen station. Replacement local and express buses will run, but travelers should allow half an hour of extra travel time.

Train traffic to and from Zwolle will also be temporarily stopped, from Monday to Wednesday, because a viaduct is being constructed. Zwolle is an important hub for traffic to the northern provinces. There are no trains between Zwolle and Kampen and between Zwolle and ‘t Harde on Thursday and Friday. Replacement buses are also deployed there.

NS previously reported that the work around Zwolle is also causing problems for the services of Arriva and Keolis. Travelers can use NS buses, but must take into account half an hour of extra travel time.

From Monday to Saturday there is also work in and around Amsterdam Central Station and Amsterdam Bijlmer. The NS advises travelers in Amsterdam to take the metro or travel from other places via Amsterdam South.
