The search for the ‘missing’ car of a man from Rosmalen is over. The car was found by a reporter from RTV Utrecht. Not on the south side of Utrecht, where the man thought he had parked. But in a garage at the Utrecht Science Park.

The man from Rosmalen parked his car somewhere in Utrecht or the surrounding area on April 18, and the car had not been seen since. After parking, the man left on the bicycle, which he had in his car, to the center of Utrecht for an appointment. However, he had forgotten where he had parked his car. The man’s memory is said to have deteriorated recently, family said.

The search went on for days and the family made an appeal through the media. There was an online map showing what people had already searched for. The man himself thought that he had parked somewhere in the south of the municipality, or in the north of Nieuwegein ‘in a small parking lot with about 8 cars, in the green’. That turns out not to be true. A reporter from RTV Utrecht saw the car in the parking garage at the Utrecht Science Park. EditieNL can tell you what the parking costs are; 84 euros.
