Rotterdam – Tomorrow (Wednesday, May 1) it will be wonderful summer weather when the Circusstad Festival starts on and around the Schouwburgplein. Circusstad Festival is the largest circus festival in the Netherlands. Last year there were almost 40,000 visitors. The festival lasts until Sunday, May 5.

Everyone is welcome at Schouwburgplein, there is no fence around the festival. You can walk straight onto the square for a terrace, free performances and workshops. Tickets for paid performances are also for sale. These take place in tents on the square, in Theater Rotterdam, the old Luxor, the Doelen, the Maritime Museum, the Laurenskerk and Codarts on Katendrecht..

Circus City Festival got underway in recent weeks with the City Parade. More than fifty performances were performed at primary schools, in retirement homes and on squares in the city.
