ZEELAND – Thursday will start quietly and sunny, but code yellow will apply from this afternoon. The KNMI warns of thunderstorms and hail.
It will be sunny and warm on Thursday. But while Wednesday ended that way, that is not the case on Thursday. The KNMI has declared code yellow. The warning applies from 4 p.m. “Thunderstorms will occur mainly in the center and south this afternoon and evening. These showers may locally be accompanied by gusts of wind, hail and lots of rain. This may cause disruption to traffic and outdoor activities. There may also be local flooding,” the KNMI warns. During thunderstorms, wind gusts of up to approximately 65 km/h and hail of up to 2 cm are expected. In addition, there will be local precipitation amounts of 20-40 mm in an hour.
The warning applies until 11:00 PM. Later in the evening the number of showers decreases and becomes less heavy.
Code yellow applies to North Brabant, Zeeland, Limburg, South Holland, Utrecht and Gelderland.
