After a strong season, PSV is crowned champion of the Netherlands – Voetbal International

PSV became champions on Sunday afternoon, for the first time since 2018 and for the 25th time in club history. Things did not go as smoothly against Sparta Rotterdam as has been the norm this season, but in the end Peter Bosz’s team won and will be able to pull out on Monday. The national title is the culmination of an extremely impressive season in terms of numbers and playing technique.

Sparta proudly tweeted around 12.15 that captain Bart Vriends had at least won the toss, fully in line with the expectation that the Kasteellords would only feature on this long Brabant day and undoubtedly even longer Brabant night. For a moment it looked like Sparta was really going to play spoilsport.
