After the Netherlands and Germany, the originally Belgian Nordic is also entering the French market. After the recent takeover of Askja Reizen on the Dutch market, the takeover of the French Nord Espaces follows.

This travel organization specializes in travel to Scandinavia, with more than 30 years of experience in the French market.

In addition to this new acquisition, Nordic will also become co-owner of the Explore the North lodges in Lapland, a partner with which the Belgian travel company has been working exclusively for years for its winter trips to Swedish Lapland.

Before the corona period, Nordic achieved a turnover of approximately 30 million euros, with 40 employees. The company has invested heavily in digitalization and optimization of processes during the pandemic. Partly due to the increasing popularity of Scandinavian destinations, Nordic expects a turnover of more than 150 million euros by 2025 with approximately 180 employees.

Nordic Collection now includes eleven travel brands. In addition to Nordic, which was founded in 2008 by CEO Maarten Raes under the name ‘Nordic Info’, there are the brands Galtic, Atacama, MyHimalaya, Canada Travel Designers, Wild Alaska, Beyond Borders, Askja, VNC Asia Travel, FLY and BiKE and now also Nord Espaces.
