This go-live makes it even easier for transferors and potential successors to get in touch with each other in the event of an extra-family takeover.

NAJK sees many agricultural companies end because there is no successor. At the same time, there are many young people who would really like to become farmers or enter into a partnership, without the prospect of an agricultural business. With the ‘Farmer seeks Farmer’ initiative, NAJK, together with Rabobank, LLTB, ZLTO and LTO Noord, offers guidance in non-family business takeovers. In recent years, several business transferors and successors have found each other and great collaborations have emerged. With the platform that has been live since May 1, this is now even easier!

Assistance with non-family business takeovers

“Transferring or taking over a company is a complex process and does not happen overnight,” explains Coen van den Bighelaar, executive director at NAJK with the business acquisition portfolio. “Especially in the case of a non-family business takeover, it is important that the farmer and potential successor get to know each other well. The new portal helps them with that!”. You can participate in the online platform by creating an account via boerzoektboer.najk.nl.

Small contribution, big result

To maintain user-friendliness, an amount of €75 is collected annually when using the platform. Project leader Marjan Holtland is enthusiastic about the improvements to the platform: “We look forward to seeing even more positive matches and successful collaborations emerge on our new platform!”
