Do you want to follow exciting legal cases closely via social media and get paid for it? Do you prefer to scroll through the various social media all day long and do you think it would be interesting to look for conversations about the judiciary? Are you on top of the news and do you know the power of social media? Then the LDCR is looking for you! We are looking for two specialists in online spokesperson and communication.

The RSC Online team of the Judiciary Service Center (RSC) answers customer questions and speaks about high-profile rulings or news that affects the Judiciary. The team monitors social media channels, the web and national news services from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to bring in signals from outside. We work in a dynamic playing field with a politically sensitive character. In addition, we are constantly developing as a team. This means that we ask you to have a flexible attitude and that you are willing to contribute ideas to this process.

What you’re going to do
As an online spokesperson and communications specialist, you are partly responsible for monitoring the social media channels Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and WhatsApp. You provide explanations and spokespersons about lawsuits and rulings on various news sites. You ensure that we increase the reach and impact of our statements and press releases. In this way you help build trust in and understanding of the Judiciary. You can achieve this by performing the following tasks:
• You bring in signals from society from outside;
• You provide advice about spokespersons on social media;
• You make social media reports and environmental analyses;
• You proactively speak out about controversial statements or news that affects the Judiciary;
• From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. you monitor social media, the web and national news services to bring in signals from outside;
• On social media you explain, supplement facts, inform and correct facts. In this way you safeguard our reputation and help build confidence in the judiciary;
• You are part of the national Newsroom, where news, politics, society and communication come together.

Where will you work?
The operational tasks of all courts and other bodies of the Judiciary are housed in one national service center: the National Services Center for the Judiciary (LDCR) in Utrecht. Important parts of the service are: online services (such as the internal and external website, telephony and social media), finance, court fee collection, management information, employment legal advice and purchasing. We do this together with approximately 200 colleagues for all courts, tribunals and special colleges. The coming years will be all about further development and innovation. We like to be at the forefront of new developments and therefore offer our employees every opportunity to grow and develop further. We work together in an open and informal culture to optimally support the primary process of the Dutch judiciary.

Team RSC Online
You will work at the Judiciary Service Center (RSC). The RSC is a national service desk for citizens, litigants and chain parties who have a question about the Judiciary. The online spokespersons and webcare employees answer questions together via social media channels such as X, Instagram and Facebook or WhatsApp. You work closely with the communications colleagues from the courts, the national services and the Council for the Judiciary.
The LDCR wants to be an organization where everyone is welcome. We believe that the power of diversity increases the quality of our work. Your unique perspective is valuable. We are curious about your personal story, your qualities and your work and life experience.

What we offer you

• you will be in scale 9 (minimum €3,165.83 and maximum €4,440.57 based on a 36-hour working week). The collective labor agreement will change as of July 1, 2024. From this date, the amounts in scale 9 are €3,484.93 and €4,868.02 based on a 36-hour working week;
• your contract is based on 32-36 hours. You keep a good balance between work and private life, for example by working partially from home. For connection and collaboration you are in the office at least two days a week;
• you will receive an annual contract. If you perform well, you will receive permanent employment.
• you get 144 holiday and 64 SCV hours for 36 hours;
• you have an individual choice budget (IKB) of 16.37% (16.50% as of July 1) of your salary, with which you determine part of your employment conditions yourself. You can have the budget paid out, convert it into extra days off or spend it on tax-friendly goals such as a bicycle or studies;

• you will receive the occupational health and safety facilities necessary to do your work properly, both in the office and at home. This includes a laptop, telephone, office chair, adjustable desk, screen and also a noise canceling headset;

• Demonstrable experience in the communications field, preferably 1-2 years as a spokesperson or environmental analyst;

• You like to switch quickly, take initiative, easily maintain relationships with others and like to keep a finger on the pulse of what is going on inside and outside the Judiciary;
• A flexible attitude (particularly with regard to working hours) is a requirement.
• You have antennas for sensitivities and matters that can have an impact on the image of the Judiciary and know how to deal with them. Organizational sensitivity is indispensable here;
