Opening Meikermis Groningen | Now with the ribbon

--

Around four o’clock yesterday afternoon, May 9, on Ascension Day and Europapa Day, speeches were given by the fair associations and this year’s councilor for fairs, Mirjam Wijnja, at the catering square at the head of the Vismarkt prior to the official opening. Everyone was pleased that it had worked again and everything fit in the new version of our living room, the Grote Markt.

Then a walk at the Vismarkt through the attractions on the way to the new Ferris wheel of the Akkerman family.

Always himself, Groningen councilor Mirjam Wijnja cut the ribbon for the official opening of twelve days of spectacle. After this, the group took a seat in the new attraction and could admire Groningen from a height.

In short, a busy fair today where it was pleasant to spend time and how nice that as joint photographers you can capture many things about Groningen and more.
