TVM is looking for the safest driver in the Netherlands

The search for the safest truck driver in the Netherlands has started again. During the Safest Driver Championship, truck drivers can register and get started online immediately.

Truck drivers compete against each other in different ways. The NK starts with an online phase including knowledge questions. The best 24 drivers qualify for the grand final day on Saturday, September 28 in Harderwijk.

The TVM Awards is the name of a social initiative to improve transport and road safety by TVM insurance and a select group of involved partners. The partners are: Volvo Trucks Netherlands, Van Eijck Group, Continental Benelux, Veilig Verkeer Nederland, Sector Institute Transport and Logistics, Bumper, JobTrans and ANWB. The primary objective of the TVM Awards is to create more awareness – among all road users – for safe driving behavior. In addition, TVM and the partners want to make a positive contribution to the professional driver profession and to the image of the logistics and transport sector.

In addition to the NK Safest Driver 2024, the TVM Awards consist of the TVM Award Knight, NK Safest Driver Junior, CSR, Innovation, Safe Transport and Sustainability. These prizes, just like the National Safest Driver Championship, will be awarded during the final day on September 28. The campaign for these TVM Awards starts in mid-July.

Hélène Hendriks

TV personality Hélène Hendriks has been associated with the TVM Awards as an ambassador since the beginning. She will be present during the finals. On September 28, she will present the final day and present all the prizes. The winner of the National Safest Driver Championship will, of course, win the TVM Award in addition to the sporting honor. The entire top 15 also wins a visit to Volvo Trucks in Gothenburg, Sweden. Numbers 16 to 24 win a visit to the Volvo Trucks factory in Ghent.
