The VVT organizations in South Limburg face a major challenge when it comes to staff shortages. This problem transcends individual organizations and is a sector-wide issue. Personnel shortages are felt at all levels, from practically trained to theoretically trained. Given the competition on the labor market and the less positive image of working in elderly care, an innovative strategy is needed. That is why 23 organizations from South Limburg have joined forces.

The campaign emphasizes the unique values of working in elderly care. This ranges from the gratitude of residents to the strong bonds that employees build with the elderly. It supports the self-reliance of the elderly and offers them companionship. Working in senior care is not just a job, but an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. These values form the core of the campaign and are communicated in a creative way throughout South Limburg.

Employees of the participating VVT organizations have been asked to share what makes working in elderly care so special and which experiences are most memorable. This resulted in a range of stories, from moving events to funny moments. By sharing these stories, the campaign brings out the essence of working in elderly care.

The focus on the emotional and human aspects of the work should make potential employees aware of the value of a career in this sector. The launch of the campaign marks an innovative collaboration that contributes to a future-proof healthcare sector.
