Police drive a ‘kidnap bus’ in Eindhoven and arrest two men

--

The police arrested two men on Wednesday evening at Spanvlinderplein in Eindhoven. The two were driving a van that was fully equipped to kidnap people. The bus has already been used to kidnap someone.

The van was hit by the police around a quarter to eleven because it was suspicious. This happened between the flats in the Tongelre district near the N270. The spokesperson did not say how the police found the car.

‘Heavy criminals’
When the bus stops on Spanvlinderplein, officers in bulletproof vests pull two men in black hooded sweaters out of the vehicle. According to a police officer on the street, it would be ‘serious criminals’. The two stood handcuffed next to their car for some time.

Because it is precisely that van that can be called special to say the least. From the outside there is little to see, but inside the large Mercedes Sprinter appears to be equipped to kidnap people. It seems like some kind of prisoner transport for the underworld.

Special decoration
Heavy locks are mounted on the sliding and rear doors of the bus. The inside of the bus is almost sinister. The entire cargo hold is covered with translucent plastic and there seems to be a cool box in the corner.

What is also striking is that it is a fairly new, but also large delivery van. Prints of stickers from parcel deliverer DPD can still be seen on the sides.

Previously used
The police suspect that the bus was previously used to kidnap someone. It is unclear where and when exactly this happened. In any case, it is reason enough for the police to arrest the two occupants of the bus for possible involvement in kidnapping.

The two are in custody and are being interrogated. The van has been lifted and is being investigated by the forensic team.
