The crowdfunding campaign to collect money for the funeral of Sanne Bos has stopped after a day. The counter was then at more than € 2400. According to the organizer, he received a lot of negative reactions. Sanne’s parents call on RTL not to donate money.
The 26-year-old Sanne was the supervisor of the 10-year-old Hebe. The two died last week in a fatal accident near Den Bosch.
A similar crowdfunding campaign for Hebe raised EUR 48,917 within a day. The organizer of the action for Sanne’s funeral says: “I started a crowdfunding campaign for Sanne with a pure heart. Because an action had been started for Hebe with which a super nice amount was raised. However, Sanne was not included in this and I I therefore started an action for Sanne with pure intention and good intentions.”
But the reactions were not kind, he says: “There were so many nasty reactions from people who think that I would like to keep the amount raised for myself, that I have stopped the crowdfunding campaign. I was called gajes and scammer and also m’ a friend was involved,” says the organizer.

Sanne’s parents let RTL know: “We think it’s super sweet that everyone wants to support us in this way. But we don’t support any fundraising campaign. We know nothing about it and don’t want money to be collected for Sanne.”
Not appropriate
Some donors to the campaign for Hebe wondered why no money was raised for the 26-year-old counselor Sanne. According to the initiators of that action, Sanne meant a lot to Hebe and her family. But as friends of Hebe’s parents, they are not aware of the financial situation of Sanne’s family. They also don’t think it’s appropriate to ask.
“I want to thank all donors for their generosity and trust. And I hope that you may be rewarded for your good deed”, writes the initiator of the action for Sanne on the accompanying webpage. He explains: “The promotion has therefore been stopped and all donors automatically receive their donated amount back into their account within 3-10 days. I am really shocked by all that reaction.”
Other action
Another crowdfunding campaign for Sanne’s funeral has already been closed after two donations. This fundraiser only had seventeen euros on the counter.
Sanne and Hebe were on their way from Raamsdonkveer to Vught on Monday 17 October. Sanne was supposed to take Hebe home, but they never got there. For two days there was a search on the route of Raamsdonksveer. The disabled girl and her supervisor were found on Wednesday evening in a black Kia Picanto in the water at the Empel junction near Den Bosch. The police are currently assuming a fatal accident.
The name of the organizer is known to the editors.
