Shakira (45) continues to sneer at Gerard Pique (35). The Colombian singer and the now former football player from Barcelona split up in June. In a new song, Shakira references her ex again.

Earlier this year, Shakira already showed up Elle that she was having a hard time with the breakup. “It is difficult to talk about it, especially because I am still processing everything. Since I am a public figure, our breakup is also different than usual.”

The Colombian and Pique separated in June 2022 after a relationship of more than ten years. After the breakup, Shakira never commented about Pique’s alleged adultery. She also declined to go into details of the divorce. But if talking doesn’t work, singing will help.

For example, in a new song with the Argentinian rapper Bizarap – aka Bzrp – Shakira gives her former partner a blow with an unmistakable lyrics. Everything seems to refer to Pique and the way their relationship ended.

Phrases like “I wish you well with my so-called replacement” and “You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, a Rolex for a Casio” leave little to the imagination.

Not the first swipe

It is not the first time that the singer refers to Pique in her lyrics. Also in Monotonia she already sneered at Pique in October. In it she says that breaking the relationship nobody’s fault, but she also makes negative comments about the person she is singing about.

Pique has also finished his football career after the break. The defender said goodbye to FC Barcelona just before the World Cup in November. Earlier today it was announced that The Davis Cup has terminated its partnership with Kosmos Tennis, which is owned by Pique.
