Gijs Staverman (58) will start working at Radio 10. The radio DJ announced two weeks ago that he would quit KRO-NCRV, where he had his afternoon show on NPO Radio 2. Gijs 2.4 presents. He will stop on June 1 and will then make radio for Talpa, which includes Radio 10. Sources confirm this to this site.
Staverman, who was heard on NPO Radio 2 for ten years, thought it was ‘certainly not an easy decision’. “I am leaving this wonderful radio station, I have had ten fantastic years,” he said. His broadcaster regrets his departure. “Gijs has created many hours of beautiful and appealing radio for us, full of love for the music. We are very grateful to him for that and we wish Gijs a bright future outside KRO-NCRV.”
It is still unknown exactly when Staverman will start at Radio 10 and at what hours he will make radio. It is certain that Gerard Ekdom will leave the station. The radio DJ who hosted the morning show for six years Ekdom in the Morning cared for, leaves for Veronica. It has also yet to be decided who will succeed Staverman from Monday to Thursday on NPO Radio 2 between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
