Gerard Sanderink must immediately pay his own IT company Centric 91 million euros, the Amsterdam court ruled on Wednesday.
The controversial businessman had demanded that Centric pay him 30 million euros in dividends. The judge rejected that.
The case revolved around a loan of 80 million euros, it reports A.D. Sanderink had that amount paid out to his holding company Sanderink Investments when he was still boss at Centric. Sanderink did not show up during the court case about the loan on March 12. His lawyers had resigned a few days earlier. Sanderink must now repay the amount, plus interest and costs. This brings the total amount to 91 million euros.
Sanderink has been at odds with Centric for years. Previously, the court in Amsterdam decided that Sanderink had to leave as senior director of the IT company.
This decision followed after construction company Strukton indefinitely suspended its then CEO, who publicly fought out a private conflict with his ex and dragged his companies into it.
