A sixteen-year-old girl died on Tuesday evening after falling from a building in Amsterdam. The police are considering a fatal accident, but are not ruling out other scenarios. Two sixteen-year-old boys have been arrested.

The police received a report at 11:45 p.m. that a group of young people had forced the entrance door of a building in the center. When officers arrived there, it turned out that a girl had fallen from a great height. She was “very seriously injured,” police wrote in a statement. After resuscitation, she was taken to hospital in critical condition. She later died there.
It is not yet clear what exactly happened. The police are investigating “and are taking various scenarios into account,” a spokesperson told NU.nl. It could be a fatal accident, but “possible other causes cannot be ruled out at this early stage.” The role of the teenagers is still being investigated.
Police are asking witnesses to contact them.
