Two horses that raced through London on Wednesday are in serious condition | Abroad

Two of the four horses that bolted and ran through central London on Wednesday morning are in a serious condition after undergoing multiple operations. A British government official reported this on Thursday.

Four military horses broke loose during routine exercises near Buckingham Palace on Wednesday morning. A fifth horse tried to run away, but could not break free.

The horses were startled by construction noise and threw their riders from the saddle. The horses caused considerable chaos in central London during the morning rush hour.

“Three of them are OK. Two of them are unfortunately in a relatively serious condition,” Defense Secretary James Cartlidge told Sky News. The two are said to have no broken bones, but one horse was taken to an equine hospital for specialist care.

Three soldiers who were thrown from the horses were hospitalized with injuries. They are expected to make a full recovery and return to work. The three horses that are OK are also expected to return to work.

In addition to the three soldiers, a cyclist was also treated in hospital for injuries.
