Simons and Leipzig far too strong for CL semi-finalist Dortmund, Bayern also wins | Football

Without the suspended Ian Maatsen and the injured Donyell Malen, Dortmund took a 0-1 lead in the Red Bull ArenA thanks to a goal from Jadon Sancho, but halfway through Leipzig already led 2-1. Bayern had a good general result for the Champions League on Saturday, although the 2-1 win over Frankfurt was not convincing. VfL Wolfsburg took three points at SC Freiburg (1-2) in a spectacular final phase. Bremen defender Sebastiaan Bornauw gave the Freiburg a 1-0 lead after 42 minutes with an own goal, after which a lot went wrong for the home team in the last ten minutes. Roland Sallai missed a penalty for Freiburg, while Maximilian Arnold and Maxence Lacroix scored for Wolfsburg. Freiburg’s Kiliann Sildillia saw red after 64 minutes.
