A reporter has found the car of a Brabant family who had been looking for it for a week and a half, reports RTV Utrecht. The seventy-year-old owner parked his bus south of the center, but then had no way of finding it.

The seventy-year-old man drove from Brabant to Utrecht on Thursday, April 18. The man parked his car south of the center and cycled to an appointment in the city center. In this way, he wanted to save high parking costs, the son of the car owner tells the Utrecht news medium.

After the appointment, the man cycled back, but forgot where he had left his car. All the family members knew was that the man had cycled 7 kilometers to the center. That was on the odometer of his bicycle.

The family members decided to make a map and mark the areas where they had searched for the bus. The man’s son received many tips on social media, but was nevertheless unable to find the car. A reporter eventually found the bus in a neighborhood that had not yet been looked at.

The family is delighted that the bus has been found. “I can hardly believe it is still standing anywhere,” says the son. The family picks up the bus as quickly as possible and then puts a transmitter in it so that they can always find it.
