Former porn star Stormy Daniels appeared in court on Tuesday as a witness in the trial of former American President Donald Trump. Daniels described in detail her sexual relationship with Trump in the lawsuit.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was interrogated in the criminal case about the hush money that Trump allegedly paid her in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, which Trump won. Trump is said to have tried to hide the payment of that hush money in the accounts.

During the thirteenth day of the trial, Daniels gave her testimony. She described meeting Trump at a golf tournament 18 years ago. The company she worked for at the time sponsored one of the holes of the tournament in which Trump participated. “That, yes, I know, is very funny,” she said herself about the irony that a sex industry company sponsored a ‘hole’.

She later spoke in detail about the sex she allegedly had with Trump in a hotel suite in 2006. It was about his pajamas, his boxer shorts, the sex positions and the fact that he wasn’t wearing a condom.

Meanwhile, Trump, sitting just a few feet away, could only watch in silence. He is not allowed to say anything during the interrogations and must let his lawyers do the talking. Trump has always denied having sex with Daniels.

Trump’s lawyers balked at details

His lawyers frequently objected to the details that emerged during Daniels’ interrogation. Trump’s defense said the details were irrelevant and their sole purpose was to influence the jury. The judge ignored the objection, but asked Daniels not to elaborate too much.

Daniels also talked about the period after the incident. At first she wanted to keep it private after she was threatened in a parking lot in 2011.

She said she changed her mind when Trump was also accused of sexual abuse by others during the 2016 presidential election. “My motivation was not money, but to get the story out.”

Daniels spoke in court for nearly four hours on Tuesday. At the end of the hearing, there was a fierce cross-examination between Daniels and a lawyer for Trump, during which, according to a reporter from the BBC almost shouted at each other. Daniels’ testimony continues Thursday.
