On Thursday, seven people were injured during Les Eurockéennes de Belfort, after a heavy thunderstorm broke out. Friday’s concerts have therefore been cancelled. Les Eurockéennes de Belfort is one of the largest French music festivals.

Shortly after the opening, a tent collapsed at the entrance to the festival site. This was due to strong wind and rain. Seven people were injured. One of them was taken to hospital. The storm also caused significant damage to the festival site and the nearby campsite.

The festival is planned to continue, “but it will not be possible to open the site on Friday due to the damage,” said organizer Matthieu Pigasse. Tickets for Thursday and Friday will be refunded.

On Thursday, the French DJ duo Bob Sinclar and Pedro Winter and the Belgian star Stromae were on the program. On Friday, among others, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Diplo would perform.
