Last night, the Eindhoven police jammed a delivery van that appears to have been specially designed to kidnap people. The two men on the bus have been arrested.

Heavy locks are mounted on the sliding and rear doors of the bus, Omroep Brabant reports. The entire cargo hold is covered in translucent plastic, and there appears to be a cool box in the corner of the hold.

The police intervened around 10.45 pm, when the van drove between the flats in the Tongelre district. When the bus came to a stop, officers in bulletproof vests took two men wearing black hoodies from the vehicle. According to a police officer on the street, they were “serious criminals.”

Suspicion of kidnapping

Police would not say how the bus came into the picture. It is clear that the two men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and the police assume that the ‘kidnap bus’ was used to kidnap someone. It is unclear where and when that happened. The two suspects are still in custody and are being questioned.
