The family is grateful for all initiatives. Father Peter Pieters: “The girls who care about her now say: we have to do something for her, because Amy was always there for us. That is a very nice gesture.”

‘Keep jersey within the team’

SD Worx still has a resolution today. “Of course we miss Amy. It is a big goal to keep the jersey within the team,” says Demi Vollering, who will be back in action for the first time since May 22.

“We only have a small team, we only drive with three, but Lonneke Uneken is in good shape. And we have Chantal Blaak too.”
