Meanwhile, the FA suspects Tonali of having placed fifty bets on football matches between August 12 and October 12, 2023. It seems as if the Italian only stopped gambling when rumors of a first possible suspension began to circulate. Apart from a statement from Newcastle United in which the club reports that it supports the player in this process and Tonali will cooperate in the investigation, both parties do not want to comment on the situation.

Tonali is known as a great talent. The midfielder has often been compared to Andrea Pirlo in the past and left AC Milan last summer for a fee of around 64 million euros. He has made fifteen appearances for Italy so far.
