Xavi will remain trainer of FC Barcelona. All major Spanish media and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday evening that the Spaniard changed his mind after discussions with chairman Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco.
Xavi had extensive discussions with Deco, Laporta and other directors on Wednesday. This resulted in the coach having enough confidence to continue at FC Barcelona. No new contract will be signed, because Xavi is still contracted until mid-2025. The club is expected to confirm the news on Thursday.
