The deal between Ajax and Graham Potter will probably be completed by Friday at the latest. Sam C from That’s Football shares this! and The United Stand on X. Earlier on Thursday it was revealed that Potter had rejected the first offer from the Amsterdam team.
According to rumors, Potter would initially be present at the match between Ajax and Excelsior on Wednesday evening, but could not be found in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. According to Sam C, this is due to a last minute change in plans. The Englishman would visit the match together with the returned Alex Kroes.

Now that Kroes has returned to Ajax as technical director, this would be an indication that Potter will also sign in Amsterdam. It was Kroes who had first approached the coach about the coaching vacancy in Amsterdam.
The only condition that still needs to be met is Potter’s salary requirement. The first offer from the Amsterdam team was not sufficient in that regard, so Ajax, led by Kroes, will have to dig deeper into their pockets to sign Potter.
