Formula 1 reporter Martin Brundle writes on social media that the teams with the money and resources will have been targeting Adrian Newey for some time, because bringing in the Red Bull Racing CEO is a double blow.

Adrian Newey’s future at Red Bull Racing is a topic of discussion in the Formula 1 paddock. The top designer – responsible for the championship-winning cars of Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen – is seen as one of the most important people within the team, but the Briton would no longer feel comfortable with the Austrian superpower, because of the soap opera that is going on is around team boss Christan Horner. The question is where Newey is going. However, that plan seems to have some snags. Newey has a contract until the end of 2025, and if he leaves, he is not allowed to work for another Formula 1 team for a year.
