Due to the injury of Quilindschy Hartman, a ‘vacancy’ appears to have become available in the Dutch selection, according to De Boer. “Then of course you have Daley Blind and Nathan Aké. Maatsen was called up to the main squad of the Dutch national team in October, but has not yet played an official match. The question is whether Koeman is monitoring the development of the left back and whether Maatsen is a candidate for the European Championship selection.
