But I had been talking to FC Twente for so long. We wanted to work it out together and that happened.”
Feyenoord’s interest did not cause Oosting to have doubts about a contract extension in Enschede. “We were already so far together. And then you can start thinking: if this, if that. But no: I’m doing well at FC Twente and I’m far from done here”, says Oosting. The head coach of the current number three in the Eredivisie was asked on Wednesday evening after the home game against Almere City about a possible switch to De Kuip. “If there is still a chance that you cannot reach an agreement, you may have to stay somewhere in the middle. But I’m sure it will work now. Arnold (Bruggink, ed.) and I spoke on Wednesday and afterwards. Everything is clear. We still have one detail to sort out.”
