The announcement of Adrian Newey’s departure from Red Bull does not seem to be long in coming. Several sources report that this announcement is still being made for the Miami Grand Prix.
Last week it was announced that Adrian Newey would be leaving the Red Bull team. The reason for this departure is said to be dissatisfaction within the team. This is partly due to the case surrounding team boss Christian Horner. Sources now report that Newey has officially submitted his resignation and that everything is being prepared for his departure. Red Bull is expected to make an official statement in the coming days. Newey still has a contract until the end of 2025 and it appears that he will serve out this contract.
Adrian Newey is said to have sent an internal letter with his reasons for leaving. For example, his relationship with Christian Horner has suffered a serious blow due to the allegations against him. In addition, Newey’s work within the team has been adjusted and not according to his wishes.

Possibilities for Newey
Adrian Newey will have no worries about his future. Thanks to his successful career, he has various opportunities with various teams. He has clear options on the table with teams such as McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari and Aston Martin. Another understandable option is his pension. He is now 65 years old and a new journey with a team can take a long time. Newey has been active in the Red Bull project for 19 years.
The Aston Martin team is keen to have him join the car’s team of designers. Newey will then work together with former colleague Dan Fallows, which he is charmed by. However, the Brit is not a fan of Stroll Sr. and is therefore looking at other options for the time being. Since there are several teams that would like to offer him a contract, we will have to wait and see what choice he will make.
