Max Verstappen won the sprint race for the F1 Grand Prix of Miami on Saturday, but few people talked about the Dutchman on social media after the race. It was a lot about Daniel Ricciardo, but especially about the driving behavior of Lewis Hamilton and Kevin Magnussen.

Verstappen rode in P1 from start to finish and actually kept Charles Leclerc at two seconds or more. Sergio Pérez had to make do with P3 behind the Monegasque, after which Daniel Ricciardo was able to very well hold off Carlos Sainz and Oscar Piastri for P4. Behind that, however, the chaos began. Lewis Hamilton finished in P8 and mainly had to battle with Kevin Magnussen, but held off Yuki Tsunoda for a point in the sprint race. However, the Briton was given a twenty-second penalty for driving ten kilometers per hour too fast in the pit lane under the safety car.

Hamilton and Magnussen target of F1 fans

Kevin Magnussen, who received four time penalties, was also criticized for his strategy. The Dane did everything he could to hold up Hamilton, but also the other drivers behind him. This is to give teammate Nico Hülkenberg an advantage, something the duo also did earlier this year. The fans did not have good words for Hamilton and Magnussen, but of course they did for Ricciardo and his fourth place.
