Although PSV does not fully agree with Noa Lang’s words regarding his lingering hamstring injury, the attacker receives a lot of support from teammates and other colleagues on social media. Boezemvriend already makes a promising prediction for next season. The former Ajax player expects Lang to become Player of the Year in the Eredivisie.

Lang switched from Club Brugge to PSV last summer for 12.5 million euros. The attacker had become one of the best players in the competition in Belgium and hoped to continue that trend in Eindhoven. Lang got off to a good start, including the winning goal in the battle for the Johan Cruijff Shield against Feyenoord. He also made a good impression in the Eredivisie and group stages of the Champions League, but unfortunately a hamstring injury threw a spanner in the works. Lang had been sidelined for a few weeks at the end of last year. Although he made his return at the beginning of this calendar year, he has not played a match for more than three months.

Lang was forced to share his story on Instagram and provide an explanation for his long absence. According to the attacker, several ‘wrong diagnoses’ were made, which caused him to suffer from his hamstring every time he was on his way back and he only found out in January that he had a serious problem. Lang also struggled with glandular fever, which did not make his rehabilitation process any easier. But I always kept smiling. I would like to thank everyone within PSV for all the support and appreciation I have received from day one. PSV is a warm family club and I am grateful to be part of it. Even though it didn’t feel that way for me personally in recent monthssays Lang, who expects a lot from next season ‘in which we will win all the prizes together’.

In any case, his best friend and former teammate at Ajax Kluivert has every confidence in a successful return. Next season’s player of the year, the Bournemouth striker responds. Other football players are also making themselves heard. His teammate André Ramalho also expects Lang to play great next season, Patrick van Aanholt responds with ‘We got you brother‘ and let Ruud Vormer, his captain at Club Brugge, know that he is ‘proud’.
