In any case, this Friday will be a special evening. For most likely the last time ever, the ball will roll at Cambuurplein and we will say goodbye to our beloved Cambuur Stadium. We will of course do this in an appropriate manner with many Leeuwarden artists, the champions who are present and the memory of those who have passed away. So be sure to arrive on time (the program starts at 6:30 PM) and be sure to stay seated afterwards.

In addition, it is crucial that the stadium remains intact and that all seats remain in place. There are several reasons for this, but the most important is that unfortunately it is still not one hundred percent certain that we will be able to play in the new stadium in August. In addition, part of the preparation will in any case be completed in the current stadium and our Under 21 (and the office organization) will continue to train and play in the stadium for at least another six months.

We understand the need to obtain a souvenir from the stadium and we understandably receive many questions about taking the seats with us. For this purpose, we will organize a day in September when everyone can take a look at the stadium one more time and take their seat home. More information about this will follow.

Long story short: the stadium has to last longer, so let’s make it a legendary evening, but keep the stadium intact!

Thank you in advance for your understanding and see you Friday!
