“Yes, very annoying. We have lost the keys to the house that Bien has arranged for the next ten days,” says Arjen. Where they normally always leave their keys, it was empty the next morning. Although Arjen has seen the children playing with the container in question, which is normally in the car, it is now nowhere to be seen.
“I really thought, oh no, really typical for us. Here we go again,” says Jacobien. “If it is not one thing, then it is another. While the whole family is looking for the keys in the car, Jacobien suddenly finds them in the back seat. She screams with relief. “Unfortunately, we now have an hour lost looking for the keys. But we have them, so we can continue cleaning, polishing, building, making doors, cleaning countertops, laying floors, painting cupboards, tidying up, and making beds.”
“Hallelujah! They go in mommy’s bag and they won’t come out!” Despite the relief, the pressure increases. The guests will arrive in a few hours and there is still a lot to do. “It’s really over. It’s just a hell of a lot of work. It just doesn’t stop.”
