The car of the previously found dead Laura Trappeniers (66) and the still missing Marc Olbrechts (71) was found on Tenerife on Saturday. The Belgian reports this VTM News. People had been looking for the blue Opel Mokka since the disappearance of the Flemish couple.
The Belgian couple, Laura Trappeniers (66) and Marc Olbrechts (71), had lived in Tenerife for several years and were reported missing there two weeks ago. They were last seen on April 22. The body of Laura Trappeniers was found in the sea last Saturday, without legs and hands. She died as a result of violence. Her husband is still missing.

“Good friends of the couple found the car themselves yesterday when they were searching in the area,” says VTM Newsreporter Tessa Rens, who is on site in Tenerife (see also the video below). “They found the car in a main street of a hamlet, not far from where the couple lived and disappeared. They therefore notified the police.”
The car was allegedly unlocked. A knife, sunglasses and clothes were also found in the vehicle. The police have now seized the car for further investigation.
‘Good, warm-hearted people’
The disappearance of the couple is keeping people busy on the Spanish island. “We could never have suspected this. There is nothing to indicate such a dramatic outcome,” Guy Devos, a friend of the couple, previously told Belgian media.
“I still can’t believe that Laura was found in such a gruesome way. Horrible. Those two were very happy, enjoying life here in Tenerife. They were good, warm-hearted people who had no enemies at all. The Belgian community here is dumbfounded. And not just us Belgians, the news has the entire island in its grip.”
