Here is a personal opinion

I have mixed feelings about it.
For example, I have seen games where someone who had spent more than 1000 hours in the game had the item refunded because they did not agree with certain design choices in the game at the time of release.
(apart from a negative review, which is your right if you don’t like decisions)

If you have spent more than 1000 hours in a game, you can still have quite a bit of fun with it, in my opinion, which in my opinion still justifies the costs of the game if you don’t do anything with it afterwards.

But the question is whether you should really count 2 hours of EA as real time, and how this is constructed.
Someone who purchases the game 3 years before release should have different rights than someone who purchases the game 7 days before release.

I still believe that developers should be able to determine for themselves how much playtime will be fair for their game, both in EA and in the final release.

Ultimately, this remains a situation in which you can never please everyone. A balance will always have to be found between what the different parties want.
