Microsoft has announced that it is closing several Bethesda studios. As a result, the plug is also being pulled on several games.

For starters, it’s about Arkane Austinknown from Deathloop, Preya touch Dishonored and the disappointing Redfall. The co-op vampire shooter will no longer receive updates and the Hero Pass will be cancelled.

Also the successful one Tango Gameworks Will be closed. We know Tango Gameworks from The Evil Within, Ghostwire: Tokyo and Hi-Fi Rush.

The lesser-known Alpha Dog Studios is also disappearing. The studio is behind Mighty Doom, which will be taken offline on August 7.

Roundhouse Studios, which once emerged from the remains of Human Head Studios, is then added to ZeniMax Online Studios, known for The Elder Scrolls Online.

In addition to the layoffs associated with the closure of these studios, there will also be layoffs in Bethesda’s overall corporate structure.

Xbox Game Studios boss Matt Booty says the decision reflects an ambition to prioritize “high-impact” games. People want to invest further in what Bethesda has to offer, but this requires identifying opportunities and implementing restructuring so that those opportunities get the resources they need.
