On March 15, more than 2,000 years ago, the famous assassination of the Roman dictator Julius Caesar was committed. A conspiracy of sixty senators, who turned against the absolute power of Caesar. H’ART Museum presents with the exhibition Julius Caesar a new look at the sometimes glorified dictator. The theater production The Murder of Caesar, adapted from Shakespeare, picks up on this. it is a light-hearted adaptation of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. The performance can be seen in the museum on April 6 and 7.

Na successful series of performances including festival productions during The Parade and Lowlands, the Theater Troop comes to H’ART Museum. The company has created a light-hearted adaptation of Shakespeare’s especially for the exhibition Julius Caesar. The story concerns the plot of the conspirators against Caesar, the assassination and the aftermath of this event. The six-member Amsterdam collective consists of Rosa Asbreek, Patrick Duijtshoff, Kyrian Esser, Elisabeth ten Have, Timo Huijzendveld and Nicoline Raatgever. They make limitless theater, just like in the famous Shakespeare’s Globe theater; averse to any division between classical and modern theater, between popular entertainment and intellectuality, between comedy and tragedy.

On Saturday April 6 and Sunday April 7 – during the Week of the Classics The Assassination of Caesar on display in H’ART Museum. Tickets 22.50 euros per person. A visit to the Caesarexhibition is included.
