DJ Martin Garrix will again give a fireworks show on the Zuidas

DJ Martin Garrix will also give a fireworks show this King’s Day from the roof terrace of his home on the Amsterdam Zuidas where he lives. He has received ignition permission for the show from the provincial North Sea Canal Area Environmental Agency. For this permit, it is checked whether the show meets all safety requirements.

The fireworks may be set off between 9:00 PM and 11:30 PM from the roof of the apartment complex on Gustav Mahlerlaan. The total ignition time will take approximately 10 minutes.

Not all local residents are happy with the fireworks show. “This is a residential/work area, not an event location,” says one of them AT5 know. “It’s nice that he’s throwing a party, but the neighborhood is experiencing a lot of inconvenience. Noise and mess.”

Garrix, the stage name of Martijn Garritsen, born in Amstelveen, also gave a similar fireworks show on King’s Day in previous years.

The weather during King’s Day

The most important thing first: what will the weather be like on King’s Day? It does not seem to remain completely dry: in the afternoon there is a local chance of a heavy shower with hail, thunder and a lot of rain in a short time.

During King’s Day there are dry periods with sometimes sunshine, but from the south the chance of showers increases. In the course of the afternoon there will be scattered showers across the country and local showers may turn out to be heavy, the weather bureau predicts. The temperature is about 14 degrees in the Kop van Noord-Holland to 16 degrees in the rest of the country.
