A present that was eagerly unwrapped. Burnley seemed to be heading for a defeat against Manchester United, but Amdouni was allowed to score the equalizer from the spot after a stupid mistake by Onana. Vincent Kompany’s team is once again doing something in the relegation battle.

At Burnley, the dream of retention had grown strongly again after a clear victory last week. Today, Vincent Kompany’s troops also achieved something at Old Trafford, although as the penultimate in the standings, that is certainly no easy feat.

Yet Burnley took over completely after a nice start from Manchester United. The visitors created one opportunity after another, but handled them far too nonchalantly.

Ex-JPL player Lyle Foster also killed two options. Onana had a strong first half and kept the score on the board.

After halftime it was the other goalkeeper who had to emerge as a strongman twice. Antony appeared in front of Muric twice in as many minutes, but he stood firm.

Ultimately, the same Antony would get the ball past Muric 10 minutes before the end. The Brazilian pushed the ball into the far corner after a childish giveaway from Sander Berge.

“What you can do, I can do too,” Onana must have thought. He also gave away a goal in a shameful way. The goalkeeper smashed his fist next to the ball and hit Amdouni’s head. He thanked me from the spot.

During the extra time the score went up and down a few times, but it was no longer possible to score. Burnley moves within 1 point of Luton with a draw, and Nottingham Forest has 2 points more than The Clarets in the first safe spot.
