Chinese Tesla competitor receives smart Dutch prize

--

It was already clear that Xpeng has launched the attack on the former best-selling car in the Netherlands with the G6. With a smart price tag, it offers serious competition for the Tesla Model Y.

We previously compared the specifications of all Tesla and Xpeng versions. This time we dive into the price list.

Opening the attack on Tesla Model Y

The Chinese Tesla competitor has a price tag of at least 44,211 euros. For this money you get a 66 kWh battery pack and a 258 hp electric motor on the rear axle. The electric car has a range of 435 kilometers according to the WLTP measurement method.

The Xpeng G6 can charge quickly with 215 kW at the DC charging station. This Standard Range has a tax value of less than 45,000 euros. This means that he is eligible for SEPP subsidy.

Unsubsidized versions of Xpeng G6

The Xpeng G6 Long Range with the same electric motor and an 87.5 kWh battery pack (550 kilometers of range) has a starting price of 49,188 euros. Do you want more power? Then there is also the Performance. This costs 53,188 euros and has the same battery pack as the Long Range. Because it has two electric motors, which together produce 476 hp, this model travels 20 kilometers less than the Long Range.

Captur too small? This Renault Symbioz has a larger size

The Xpeng G6 versions with the large battery pack can fast charge up to 280 kW. In addition, all versions can also supply power.

Whichever Xpeng G6 you choose, it will have standard 20-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable heated and ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel. The Xpeng G6 will already be available at dealers this summer. Would you like to stay informed about a test with the Tesla Model Y competitor? Then subscribe to the Autovisie Newsletter.
