On Monday morning, Geert Wilders did not answer journalists’ questions about who should become prime minister of the ultra-right cabinet he is negotiating. According to Nieuwsuur, the PVV member has not yet given a definitive answer about this privately, and that is causing nerves among the VVD.
“That party does not want the PVV leader to come up with a candidate at the last minute. This happened earlier when Wilders chose scouts and informants. Within the VVD faction there is a desire to hear who the intended prime minister is during the internal discussion of the main lines agreement, so that this can be taken into account in the assessment.”
No later than May 15, informants Richard van Zwol and Elbert Dijkgraaf must inform the House of Representatives what has become of the negotiations. Discussions will still take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday is Ascension Day and the party leaders of PVV, BBB, NSC and VVD will in principle not meet.
Nieuwsuur mentions the names of several MPs who will probably move to the ultra-right cabinet: Fleur Agema (PVV), Eelco Heinen (VVD), Sophie Hermans (VVD), Eddy van Hijum (NSC), Nicolien van Vroonhoven (NSC) and Mona Keijzer (BBB). The latter has still not furnished her office in the House of Representatives more than five months after the elections because she assumes she will become a minister.
