The series is said to be a cross between ‘The Crown’ and ‘This Is Us’. A scripted drama, therefore, which is given the name ‘Baroness’. Myles von Trapp Derbyshire, Georg von Trapp’s great-great-grandson wrote the story. “There will be moments of conflict, as with any family, but most importantly, there will be moments of tremendous strength, hope and acceptance,” Myles told Page Six. “My family is anything but boring. There is still much to tell. Things that happened after my family crossed that mountain, we’ve been protecting our story ever since. It’s the first time anyone has done anything after ‘Sound of Music’. My family is very quiet, we were raised to live in a bubble. But now we are going to share our story ourselves.”

The drama series will be in stark contrast to the Oscar-winning film. The focus will be more on the family of his grandmother, Baroness Henriette von Trapp. She was married to Rupert, the eldest son of Georg von Trapp. A special story, because at the age of 22 Henriette already ended up in a wheelchair after suffering from polio. Still, she managed to raise six children. Maria von Trapp, who played Julie Andrews in ‘The Sound of Music,’ will soon appear as a character in the series. A different image than we know. According to the real family, she was a loving woman, but with a serious temperament.
